WordPress 3.0 Glitches and Switches
If you’re wondering why my phone sex and small penis humiliation site looks a little different, or even if you’re not, I recently encountered the perils of a WordPress 3.0 upgrade. The upgrade was not compatible with my 3-column website design, at least for those who browse using Safari, Chrome or Opera. Only users of Firefox and IE browsers could see what my website was actually formatted to look like. The guilty culprit? Something called Webkit, a code that translates html to viewable material on the computer or mobile device screen. Safari, Chrome and Opera apparently utilize the Webkit code, whereas Firefox and IE do not. As you can see in this screen shot, the formatting is totally fucked.
So, my tireless designer and I were literally pulling our hair out, luckily, we have a lot of hair to work with, but we finally decided on converting the phone sex site to a 2 column site – blog left, widgets right – which is the layout you see now.
The only other issue with the 3.0 upgrade was that the viewability of static (style sheet) and variable (blog) data on the website page was compromised again in Safari, Chrome and Opera, most likely due to Webkit. So I could no longer feature my Welcome to My Phone Sex and Small Penis Humiliation Site area above my blog, because the static format threw off the page view for the impacted browsers. So I had to delete my Welcome area. Now I open the site with the interracial and cuckold blog, which is a little awkward for those who are expecting more about me, and less about what I write.
My designer and I and a faithful computer expert reader have written to the various entities to report the glitches, but who knows if they will ever be addressed.
