$50K fine to Favre = $150 fine to a man who makes $50K/yr
One of the slowest “news weeks” of the year is the week between Christmas and New Year’s. This is a classic week to release bad news, economic statistics the government wants to sweep under the rug or any other news the holidays can overshadow. And so it came as no surprise this turned out to the be week the NFL commish released the news that Brett Favre would be fined only $50K for the small penis photos sexting scandal. Ironically, Favre was fined $50K because he didn’t cooperate with the investigation, not because the NFL determined that he had actually sexted Jenn Sterger his small penis humiliation pics. While Brett has been officially fined for his lack of cooperation, is the NFL really going to enforce that he pays? And if he has to pay up? To put it into financial perspective, for Favre to ante up $50K is like a mere human paying an $150 fine if they make $50K per year.
The NFL claimed they couldn’t find enough forensic evidence to levy a stiffer (pun, oh my!) fine or find that he violated league rules of conduct. The NFL protects their own. So I’m not sure why Jenn Sterger and her attorney acted surprised at the outcome. Still, they have more cards to play. They can pursue the NFL and the Jets for sexual harassment or begin to leak more small penis humiliation photos, racy text messages, etc., which Brett Favre might be happy to pay to make them all go away.
The small penis humiliation jokes have proliferated since Brett’s small penis pics first surfaced on Deadpsin. That he was fined $10K per inch is one current joke making the Twitter rounds. The small penis humiliation sexting scandal in itself will mar the final days of one of the most esteemed players in the gladiatorial game of American football. Brett was almost untouchable, almost god-like, but now, he has taken a shameful fall from grace as he makes his exit from the coliseum.
